Jessica Gale - Pianist & Vocalist
Jessica as a Teacher
Jessica currently teaches most lessons in person but also offers online tuition. She has provided online tuition throughout COVID-19 to both local and international pupils.
Lessons take place at Jessica's home music studios in Liphook, which are equipped with a Yamaha C3X grand piano and a Kawai hybrid piano in one studio, and a Kemble upright piano and a digital Yamaha piano in the other. She also teaches piano, singing, and music theory at a local secondary school and has been teaching privately since graduating with a BMus (Hons) from the University of Surrey in 2013.
Jessica aims to inspire her pupils to develop a love and understanding of music. She is happy to teach students of all ages and abilities, from complete beginners to advanced students. She prepares many pupils for ABRSM and MTB graded piano and vocal exams, as well as diplomas, and encourages each pupil to work through music theory books. She holds a 100% pass rate, with the majority of her students achieving merits and distinctions.
Lengths of lessons can vary but the following is a useful guideline:
30 minutes for Grades 1-2
45 minutes for Grades 3-5
1 hour for Grade 6 and above
Each pupil/parent will be given a basic contract which should be signed and returned within the first few weeks.
Lessons take place during school term time, but extra lessons are often available during the holidays if required.
